I had a pretty nice looking 1960 Thunderbird coupe with broken fender ornaments. I also had a 60 Thunderbird not all that great but with fender ornaments. I decided to improve the better car. I also decided to do this on a cold morning before a doctor's appointment. It turns out I did more harm than good. I broke one front mounting post resulting in a loosely fitting grill and a visible crack on the front part of the hood.
Lesson: Think long and hard about unscrewing a very old promo to improve it.
Lesson: Do not ever work on an older promo without the body being very warm.
I am lucky that sitting on the shelf this car still looks very good but it is not the car it was yesterday.
