Here are two cars of special interest to me. The old-timer is a Willys Overland product called the Whippet. This one is likely a 1926-7. My grandfather only owned one car known to me and it was a Whippet of this era. Otherwise he owned pickup trucks.  The second car is either a restoration or a replica car. It is a 1956 Ford NASCAR race car as driven by Curtis Turner, popular NASCAR driver. I likely saw this car or one like it at the Asheville-Weaverville Speedway here in my local area. My dad was a NASCAR fan from the beginning and I saw quite a few NASCAR races as a young kid. Having the A-W Speedway only a few miles from home helped me to be in on that era of racing early on as well.
