The tire pressure light went on the dash yesterday. Today, I took the RX8 Mazda to the store where I recently bought the tires for it. Fortunately, i got there soon enough. A screw was found in the tire and the repair was no charge. Ya-Hoo.
While I was there for the long wait an interesting vehicle appeared.
I did not see the front end of this vehicle to fully identify it. It is a 1965 or newer GMC or Chevrolet. It came in for some high quality new tires. Someone is taking an interest in it. That's always nice to see.
The Asheville airport had a few vehicles like this in that era. It is likely this was a vehicle connected to the airport fleet. It has a faded pale“Asheville” on the left panel door. It perhaps is one of the tour "buses or cabs" that took people sightseeing into the mountains. Note the skylight windows on the roof. My fading memory tells me it was the Asheville Sky Cab in honor of the city slogan at that time--"Asheville, Land of the Sky."
